User review:
I approached the course with a lot of trepidation and excitement since, its been long number of years from the time, I obtained my multiple professional qualifications. However, read about Bocconi University and its impeccable track record and the innovative work done in the area of online teaching and student outreach. These were the singular factors that weighed. The judgement was quite "spot on" since, I was very satisfied. Mr. Stefano Caselli, the Dean for International Affairs and Professor of Finance of Università Bocconi does a splendid job and the video, with subtitles and crisp presentation makes the whole exercise seamless and of course endearing. A big thanks to all concerned. Last but not the least, a special word of appreciation for COURSERA. I look forward to equipping myself more, in the coming period. [1]... Read More

User review:
This course is a piece of art! A must-have for anyone approaching fundraising for the first time but also for those already navigating the environment. I loved particularly three sections:
-11: question to ask VCs (essential to understand the right fit for you and save time when contacting VCs but also the question, viceversa, that a VC can ask you, so you can approach meetings as a champ)
- 15: What you need to present your business to investors (essential to grasp all the topics on which you should work on before contacting VCs)
- 20: VC term sheet (this is my favourite, a must have for everyone)
I strongly recommend this course to everyone willing to do startups and I suggest to complement this course with startup valuation courses.
Even if i loved this masterpiece I think the content can be a little bit rationalized since sometimes there are repetitions ( Maybe because this course is assembled from many single different courses). Instead of 15 hours it could have been 8-10 hours. But remains a masterpiece, 5 stars with no doubts. [3]... Read More

User review:
Solid course, did a few sessions a night before bed, and I must say I was always eager for the next days sessions! There are many software programs out there that will do the calculations for you, however, getting down and dirty gives appreciation for how much detail is involved and all the knobs and switches of cap tables.
I have worked with Cap Tables for several companies over the years and not one of them, was a simple Founder, Seed, A, B etc, there is always convertible notes, there is always some type of conversion that takes place and these are a must understand. Investors are smart people, they know what they are doing and seek to maximize their position while minimizing their risk.
I enjoyed this course and learned a lot and really appreciate the Cap Table Software I use!
Only opportunity for the course was the speed, i felt it went a little fast, Mr Grant knows his stuff, I just had to go back a watch, re-watch, pause, correct, re-watch.
Overall, if you want to learn how cap tables, I definitely recommend this course. [4]... Read More

I have close to no background in business. To the credit of the speakers, this course was engaging and easy to follow. Everyone is clearly well-versed and informed about the subjects they cover. The course never leans too heavily on power point to convey information.
The first half of the course is a great introduction to fundraising and business in general. Many of the ideas discussed have application beyond the scope of fundraising.
Personally I found less to take from the latter half of the course, but that is not a criticism. It clearly progressed organically from the rest of the course and would be an excellent resource for anyone interested in fundraising and business. [5]... Read More
