User review:
Wow... I got into this course because it was the best rated in regards React.js, however, I must admit that this course got me to a completely new level as a FrontEnd developer and I haven't even finished it yet... Maximilian's way to take on each scenario is simply brilliant... clean and bullet-proof logic... and if you take the time and effort enough you end up making that logic yours... since I was a classic Node.js / vanilla JS on Pug developer, making the transition to React.js was fun! and thanks to this course I was able to start migrating my Pug ideas into React.js Right Away! I'm excited to move on to the next section!(with a client in love with the idea I came up with after making my very first prototype...), Max you've just created a new React.Js monster!
Thank you very much for this jewel of a Course you have here(and if you could update this course o make a new complementary one on the new React.js update(when available(you know the back-end addition) it would be amazing!)

User review:
The course was really good. I liked it. A few things why it's only 4 stars.
Redux sections were really confusing at the end; they should be more profound and concepts could be explained more easily with examples.
Section 28 should be removed because it's old. Jihua does the same thing in Section 30 last 2 videos with updated code. So clearly 28 should be removed and the last two videos from section 30 should be extracted from PWA to separate the styles section.
Very disappointed that the Testing section was not updated with the latest master project. I think Jihua should create videos and write tests for the current cwrn-clothing project. This would add a lot of value.
Last thing. I didn't ask any questions in Q&A section, but I like taking a look at it. Your teaching assistant Dan is... I really hope Andrea and Jihua one day will read his answers and his communication in Q&A sections. It's not my first course in udemy, but never seen such an inability to help other students and communication from a teaching assistant. [3]... Read More

Throughout the course, participants will engage with a series of easy-to-follow, hands-on video lessons that introduce various fundamental concepts, such as React's custom syntax and JSX transform, components, properties, state, and the virtual DOM. The course is designed to quickly and effectively build skills, with a focus on project-based learning that includes a range of examples, from the most basic to more complex. By the end of the course, learners will be confident in working with basic concepts like components, states, props, lists, events, and forms, and be able to apply these skills in practical applications, such as building a QR Code Digital Menu app, and deploying React applications online.
User review:
This was quite difficult for me when I started without prior knowledge of React a year ago. I read few concepts about React and then started this course again, and found it easy to follow along. Though I did not use the same version of React as the instructor and syntax as mentioned, It was overall a good experience for me. Here is how I implemented same functionality in codepen using ES6 syntax while following the instructor. Overall, it was great but don't jump in if you have not read at least few basics about it.

This advanced-level course dives deep into the complex topics of React Native, equipping learners with the skills necessary to create advanced animations, maps, notifications, and navigation. The course assumes prior knowledge of the basics of React Native and builds upon those fundamentals to explore more sophisticated concepts essential for creating a top-selling application. Throughout the course, learners work on real-life, interactive examples to better understand how each concept can be utilized in an app.
Students will develop three different apps, each with increasing complexity, and each highlighting various aspects of React Native. By working on actual app projects, learners will gain concrete insights into when to use each unique and powerful feature of the platform. Topics covered include complex animations, the Expo platform, React-Navigation, engaging users with push notifications, Twilio-powered one time passwords, offline data persistence, welcome tutorial pages, Facebook OAuth, Google Cloud Functions, and cross-platform MapView components. By the end of the course, learners will have a solid understanding of advanced React Native concepts and practical experience in implementing them in real-world applications.
User review:
The only course I've found so far doing a proper job of explaining animations.
Also a good tutorial on Expo and on using Redux with React-Native.
Contains lots of useful information and gotchas that you're usually discovering in months of working with a specific technology.
Although Stephen's style is a bit slow paced and repetitive at times (or maybe because of that), I've generally found his courses to be quite comprehensive and at the same time easy to follow; you have plenty of time to type and also understand what you are typing.
There are a few minor issues with react-navigation, some methods/options have changed a bit since the course was produced. react-navigation is a fresh library and its API is still evolving, but you'll find the necessary adjustments in Q&A.
All in all, the course is well worth the money and time invested. [5]... Read More

(comment at course of log out in firebase project)
Recommendation to guys doing this project: continue using DaisyUI and Tailwind CSS, get more familiar with it, try to implement the components with those two framework. I think it's better than just importing Brad's css file, even though it is so complete.
Besides, using Typescript will reduce A LOT OF typos and saves your time A LOT. Try to init projects with Typescript, implement along the course in TS. In the beginning it will take you some time, but the dividend will be huge: no more typos (like Brad did, no offence coz I like those typo parts, brisk and fun), and autocompletion will make you develop faster. Not to mention there will be no more `undefined` on those properties who suppose not to exist on an object.
(Comment at course of feedback app useState part.)
I took the React from to back course before, but working as a backend for a while I start forget front-end things. Using this course as a refresher, so far so good. Only some APIs needs to be watched since the current project is using React 17. [6]... Read More

Steven,
I really liked the course and the way you taught it. It was hard to find how you can improve the course.
Along the way, I ran into a problem where I stopped the npm auto build and then restarted it. It did not restart and I wasted some time trying to figure out what I did wrong. So, to improve my learning experience, I am thinking of starting any course project with git. Then, after each course, I can commit the changes (once I was happy that it was working) so that I can easily see what has changed since the last commit to find out what I have done wrong.
The other benefit of having commits,... when I go back to review what it takes to implement a feature, I can just look at the 1+ commits associated with that feature. Otherwise, it would not be possible.
Thanks for a great course !
