User review:
Hey Robin! I've been learning from your course as of the 3rd of June 2019 and it's been 4 months since then. The journey so far has been absolutely amazing because it's always been my dream to be able to play on the piano and sing and your course has seriously enabled that for me. 2 months in and I managed to with what little I had learnt from the course, write my own song and that felt incredibly encouraging for myself. I'm currently only 13% through with the course because I take my time to absorb and internalise as much as I can that is relevant for myself and my playing through your videos and I cannot be more grateful for the fact that you share your immense amount of knowledge with us and that you condense all the knowledge you have into really digestable and logical forms that just make learning so much more efficient and intuitive than any other music educator that I've come across. I cannot sing enough praises for what you've done and created for people who desire to learn the piano and I am looking forward to learning even more from you down the line. [1]... Read More

As review this course is very helpful! Although the accent was very hard to understand and changed words up in subtitles but managed to understand it. Most of his formulas are helpful and notes as well, but to help more out he could explain circle of fifths as for I am having troubles on right now. It could be very helpful and awesome if they added the information of circle of fifths and about dynamics. To make it more challenging add more quizes. That would be all! [2]... Read More

User review:
This course is very beginner, for someone that knows nothing about piano, which was too basic for me because I'm more knowledgeable and already know these things. I thought it would have more exercises for practice I could do through since it was beginner, but there's only one about naming the keys. However, the information is understandable so it would be good for people that don't know about pianos/keyboards with knowing keys and such. This course is good for someone that wants a taste of what learning some things about piano will be, before learning to actually play- you don't play anything piano/keyboard wise here. I liked the information about pianos and keyboards the most through because it will help anyone with choosing and buying the best piano/keyboard for you with the advantages and disadvantages of each option too. User review:
I’m currently working through the course. I just finished Lecture 22 and I already know enough to start going through my fake books and using the chord symbols to play some of my favorite songs. It’s still early in the course so the songs will sound rudimentary at this point. But in later lectures, I’m hopeful to get some awesome tips on dressing those chords up. I especially like the lectures on playing inversions. I have arthritis in my hands and I decided to use the piano/keyboard to help exercise my fingers. My pinky finger on my right hand curls inward toward my palm, so it’s impossible for me to play Major 7 chords in root position in my right hand. I can barely play Dominant 7 chords in root position with my right hand. So playing chord inversions will be a huge help I think when it comes to playing those 7th chords. Anyway, I really like the course and think it’s perfect for beginners who want to learn an enjoyable way to play the piano/keyboard. [5]... Read More

User review:
This is a great course for beginners. The teacher was clear at all times and explained everything very well. It teached me basic and important practices, like hands and finger placement, and ways to practice the song. My favorite section of this course would probably be section 39th, where he teaches you to master the song bits by bits, and not the whole song continuously.
The production quality is excellent, great lightning and angle camera, with a software on the upper screen showing which pianno key is pressed, which I never really looked at. Perhaps if it named every single key would be a bit more useful.
Something I would improve is to have more courses to play the song and parts of the song together repeatedly with the teacher, so we can check that we're playing it on the right tempo.
This course will give you the very very basics, you probably won't be able to play your favorite song after this course, but you will be able to play various simple pieces. [6]... Read More

This is a very succinct course with decent content for a beginner. There are concepts which are included at the end of the course which I found useful, like chord voicings which the instructor might look to expand upon in future courses. I'd like also to get more insight from him as to what exercises really worked for him / what he does or did when he was training to become a professional pianist. [7]... Read More

This is an amazing course! The piece excerpts used to demonstrate the chords and techniques are right on target for me and make the exercises so much more enjoyable.
The explanations are clear and the layout of the topics flow well and makes sense as they build on each other. I came to this course with some knowledge, but it really solidified what I had already learned and answered some questions and showed me how to practice chords. It would definitely work well for someone with no previous chord / theory knowledge.
I especially love the example of La Valse d' Amelie for all keys - I love that piece and it is something I can play over and over! (Unlike Happy Birthday or other examples elsewhere). [9]... Read More
